The Ministry of Health and the Israel Innovation Authority are exploring the establishment of a regulatory sandbox for artificial intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to create a supervised testing environment for innovative AI technologies designed to improve the quality of care, reduce wait times, and enhance access to healthcare in Israel. The sandbox will help manage risks and refine regulations with support from experts in clinical practice, technology, and ethics.
To facilitate this effort, the ministry and the innovation authority invite companies, startups, research institutions, and healthcare organizations to share information about promising AI solutions. The collected data will help identify high-impact use cases, shape an advanced regulatory framework, and adapt safety and ethics requirements to better manage risks.
More details are available in the attached document. Submissions for the call for information are open until June 15, 2025.
You are also invited to join a webinar on Thursday, June 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM, where we will present the program and answer questions.
The webinar link will be sent ahead of the webinar date.
